Merle Boden tallied the biggest stringer of the day on Tuesday, Sept. 14, yanking four trout from Flatiron Reservoir with a total length of 50 1/2". He won a cash prize and will have his name inscribed on the traveling trophy.
Norm Engelbrecht followed closely with a four-fish total of 49 1/2 inches, and Dennis Kelsey was third with 49 inches.
Dave Harem won for biggest fish, 13 1/2 inches. Thirty-eight anglers competing at this year's annual event.
The club is open to all, but club events take place during the week and we meet at Chilson Senior Center in Loveland, CO. Our basic purpose is to fish, but we're easily distracted by the chance to work with youngsters or improve northern Colorado outdoor resources.
